Important: Summit County Busted Mugshots is a private reference service, not a government office. It cannot confirm custody or release, obtain an official record, post bond, or provide legal advice. Contact the public agency that created or holds the record for those services.

Official Summit County Contacts

Use the agency that holds the record or status being requested. The Summit County Sheriff Office and Jail provide the central contact path for jail status and county corrections. The Sheriff's central office is located at 6138 Paintbrush Road, Park City, UT 84098. Its general phone number is 435-615-3600. For a current jail-status question, call 435-615-3723. A dated inmate PDF can be helpful, but the jail information line is the direct route when present status needs confirmation.

For a formal Sheriff record, use the records unit rather than the general jail line. The Sheriff's Administrative Division lists Monday through Friday hours of 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Requests can be submitted through the County's NextRequest GRAMA portal. Include the person's name, the approximate event date, and a report, booking, or case number when known so staff can identify the right record and explain any protected portion.

Questions about a Summit County court matter belong with the court, not the jail. Summit County Justice Court is at 6138 N. It is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. The court handles Class B and C misdemeanors, traffic and infractions, and small claims. Felony and Class A matters use Third District Court.

County status, a police report, and a court result are separate records. Start with the contact that matches the question, then use the appropriate follow-up route if the person has been released, transferred, or moved into state custody.

  • Current Summit County Jail status: Call the jail status line at 435-615-3723 or consult the current official county roster.
  • Sheriff incident or booking record: File a focused request through NextRequest or contact the Sheriff Records Unit.
  • Park City, Kamas, or Coalville police report: Contact the police agency or Sheriff office responsible for the event, then request that agency's report.
  • Filed case, hearing, or outcome: Contact the appropriate court or use Utah Courts record tools. A court disposition is distinct from an arrest or jail record.
  • State corrections supervision: Use the official Utah Department of Corrections offender search, which covers state corrections custody rather than a new county booking.
  • Federal or immigration custody: Use the official Federal Bureau of Prisons locator or the ICE Online Detainee Locator System when those systems are the proper custody route.

Published County fees and a records custodian's estimate remain subject to GRAMA classification and any protected-record review. A listed copying or photo amount does not guarantee that a particular record can be released. For court questions, verify the case status directly with the court. An arrest or booking remains an allegation unless a court proves guilt.
